| Description of classes: Tai Chi: A slow and low impact exercise that improves balance, flexibility and focus. Tai Chi is well known for being an important tool for maintaining good health. Kids Kung Fu (ages 5-12) A program that helps kids develop self confidence, self esteem and self defense skills in a safe and fun environment. Adults Kung Fu: Our classes focus on traditional and contemporary forms of Chinese martial arts along with self defense skills. Escrima-Arnis-Kali: A martial art developed in The Philippines. It's methods are most famous for stick and knife combat. Filipino martial arts ( called Escrima, Arnis or kali) are well known as no nonsense fighting systems. Modern Arnis and Teovel Balintawak are styles practiced here at Swift Waters. Grappling: Puts focus on live sparring with techniques found in Kung Fu, Escrima, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Kickboxing: Puts focus on live sparring with techniques from Kung Fu, Escrima, and Muay Thai. |
